The decision regarding how to choose the best ACT and SAT tutor for your child should prioritize experience and credentials. The Program
Start with the 10 CLASS PACKAGE or PAY-AS-YOU-GO
All lessons are one-on-one and my approach is individualized for the particular student and the time available until his or her test date. For that reason, the number of sessions will vary from person to person, though 10 lessons is usually the minimum. Single lessons can be purchased at any time when needed. Payment is by Venmo, bank transfer, or check. Call or email for fees.
My sessions involve teaching my proven, time-tested core methods and strategies for each section of the ACT and SAT and reviewing homework. Homework consists of completed practice tests and test sections. I always work with real tests published by the test maker, those in The Official ACT Prep Guide and on the SAT College Board site, as well as those that I have on file. Through this work I can quickly assess which test best suits a particular student.
To begin, I ask the students to purchase The Official ACT Prep Guide (any recent edition is fine). Lessons are currently both in person and by Zoom when needed. All my students are highly motivated and actually enjoy the process of improving not just their scores and test-taking abilities, but also their knowledge in the core areas of grammar, reading comprehension, geometry, and algebra.
